Please continue to remember my son, Chris in your prayers.....

I just wanted to update that Chris has now deployed for his sea time on the ship. He has a very dangerous job - top deck launching planes etc. off. And they will be traveling over at Iraq as well. Please keep him in your daily prayers until he's returned safely back home to his family. A very hard adjustment time for Ayden too. He had a nightmare 2 days ago and Jenn said he was crying telling her please don't leave me too and go far away. Hard for a 4 year old to understand just want is happening. Chris will be retuning back home in January sometime. (probably just after the baby is born)....
Thanks everyone....

My name is Jo, I, too, have a precious son in the Navy. He, like your son, Chris, left Norfolk on September 8 on the “Big Stick.” His name is Jordan and he is an airman attached to Squadron 87. He repairs fighter jets, but from time to time may be called upon to jockey the jets to the pilots. I can barely even think about the flight deck and its many dangers.

Today is the first day I have awakened without a puffy face from sobbing. Still, the lump in my throat throbs constantly.

I wanted to assure you that I shall pray for your son and his family just as steadfastly as I pray for my Jordan, his wife Freya, and their 3 little boys.

Until today, I didn’t “know” another Mother whose child was onboard. Thanks for posting your site, I appreciate the opportunity to connect with you.

Best wishes, and Godspeed the TR and all her precious cargo, safely underway and HOME.
