USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT CVN 71

Chris sent me a photo of his ship by email today. SMILES!!!

He is stationed aboard the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT. Unfortunately will soon be leaving for a long deployment towards over by Iraq. sigh. Not something any mom wants to think about. He will return back home in January probably just missing the birth of their next baby. Please keep him and the men and women aboard the ship in your prayers for a safe return.

Magnolias are becoming such a fun favorite of mine.... Lots were used on this card front along with some from Alotta Rubber Stamps. This was a fun card front to make. I painted my chipboard sentiment with Acrylic paint by Plaid Enterprises. Copic markers were used for all my coloring. Soft satin ribbon was used on the front and tied into a bow. Rocks were stamped, colored and cut out to be placed along the bottom front area. I used gelly roll pens too for accenting. TONS OF FUN! Thanks for looking.... Peggy

Three Bugs in a Rug PP, Bazzill CS, Bazzill flower, American Crafts foam numbers, Inka Image, Copics used to color with, SU chipboard, Acrylic paint for the chipboard, Inka sentiment. This is for a secret image swap over on CC's for the month of July. The card will be in the mail tomorrow on it's journey to someone on our list We all receive the same image and design a card using the image. Copic's were used to color with. Rhinestones were added, SU punch, Covered Button from Bazzill, Bazzill Flower, MS Butterfly Punch, Graphic 45 PP and Basic Grey PP, Bazzill CS, offray ribbon, and along with a flourish sticker border. LT. COMMANDER CHRISTOPHER M. BIGGS

Our son, Christopher, found out today he advanced in rank to LT. COMMANDER in the US NAVY. This October he will have been in the navy 10 years. Chris is currently serving aboard the USS Teddy Roosevelt. Chris's heart will be clear, whose goals will be high, he will master himself before he seeks to master others, one who will learn to laugh, but never forget to weep, one who will reach into the future, but never forget the past. He's a super son.... We love you Chris! We are so proud of you. Mom

Another one of my son's is celebrating an upcoming birthday soon. So I've used this cute image for his card. Copics were used for coloring with. Three Bugs in a Rug pp was selected and Reminisce Green PP for an accent. SU spiral punch and tab punch was used. Hero Arts sentiment stap. Twine for ribbon. A Fiskar's Frog punch was added too. Heidi Grace heart was added for the last embellishment to finish the card off! A fun card to make.
