This is my RICKRACK card for the challenge at Caardvarks this week.. I used SEI pp, Bazzill CS, G Studio Sentiment, chipboard painted with Plaid Acrylic paints, MM brads, RickRack - LSS, Wooden bird from Michael's craft dept., flowers from Williamsburg Factory Pottery Outlet, and the little centers of my flowers I made myself using some wire I got at a flower shop. Still wearing my orthopedic boot!!!!
Well, I guess I'm just doomed! My foot from the sugery in November isn't healing correctily. So I will be wearing this boot until I see a SECOND OPINION ORTHOPEDIC FOOT SPECIALIST in mid January..... He's been highly recommended by 3 of my other doctors. I just hope he will take on my case..... I've been hobbling along since summer from the first surgery. Then to have it turn out WORSE from the second surgery in November just put me to tears! Keep me in your prayers that the new specialist will be able to help!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB
Bob, my DH had a birthday ---December 15th... turning 55.... I kept trying to come up with some idea for a birthday card. Why is it FAMILY cards are the hardest? Maybe because we want them so special? Well, Bob has just recently last summer gotten into golfing. So finally an idea of a golf card for him clicked! The image is from the net. He loved it!

In a few more hours I get my ortho boot off and stitches out!!!! WHINING.... IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!!! UPDATE!!!!!
You can't imagine how exciting something this LITTLE means to me! I've been so looking forward to this! My foot is still soooo sore and I'm still not convinced this has fixed the problem. I hate sounding optimistic. So we will see. Let's just say I can't yet imagine how I'm gonna walk out of the office tomorrow without the help of the ortho boot still. ouchy. Keep me in your prayers things will heal right his go around!
Well, I saw my doctor and stitches came out, but my boot still has be be worn for another probably 3 weeks or so... Oh me oh my! I'm whining! My foot was sooo black and blue when he was unwrapping the dressing. And it is very sore, so I guess it is meant for a reason to keep wearing the boot! I just want this surgery to be my last!

Diaper Cake
Made a cute little diaper cake today for Brooklyn's baby shower I'll be hosting at my house in December. It was easy and fun to make. Baby receiving blankets and ribbon were wrapped around disposable diapers that had been rolled and banned with rubber bands. Then toys and essentials were pinned to the sides of the cake. TFL.... TAGGED BY MY FRIEND RIGGY
I've just been TAGGED by my friend Riggy with 5 questions to answer! Okay here goes......
1. If you could have $100.00 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose?
I probably would go with $100.00 worth new assorted embellishments. I have paper coming out my ears already to last a life time. But I think a girl can just never have too many pretty embellishments! They are like never having too many pretty shoes or purses!

2. If you had to choose between only using stamps or rubons, which would you choose?
I would definitely have to go with Stamps. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my stamps! I have DRAWERS full of stamps! YUM!
3. If you knew how to do awesome cards and layouts and could only do one for a whole year....which would you do?
Definitely would have to say CARDS!
4. Would you rather own a scrapbooking store or have your own scrapping room at home....(can't have both..he,he,he.)
I have my own room, but I'd like to have IN IT..... everything a LSS has inside it. (hehehe)
5. And last but not least, what is your CURRENT cardmaking or scrapping style....

Happy Anniversary Joyce and Tim
This is pp I've been saving for 3 years that I finally found a reason to cut into! I loved this paper and just could not make myself cut into it. LOL. Why are we this way with paper we buy? But... finally it was cut! I put it away after making the card a few weeks ago and now I can't find it to tell you who it is by.... RATS! I'll find it and repost the company.... It is sooo pretty. Chipboard heart was painted with acrylic paints and then I used Tulip fashion bead paint for accents. Stamped a sentiment on next. Stitched on the card front. And added a pretty dotted ribbon.

Chipboard is by Li'l Davis Design. Rub-on is by Autumn Leaves. Epox Tag is by Making Mermories. Bazzill cardstock and offray ribbon. Oh so simple. Hope she likes it.

Happy Fall Ya'll
I made this for a FALL MINGLE SWAP on Simply Sentiments for a dear friend, Cora. The flower started out to be a BIG FULL BROWNISH ROSE that I disassembled. I added some leaves that I rubbed with some Metallic Rub-ons by Craft-T Products, Inc. The big brad is by HOTP. PP is by KI Memories, Inc. I just luv big wide ric rack. YUM. The scallops for the CS was cut with my Create-a-Cut trimmer. Living in Louisiana we don't really see much of the turning of the leaves. But through my crafting I can still enjoy the love of the changing of the colors of fall! Happy Fall Ya'll!

Happy Wednesday Everyone.......
We are in Suffolk, Virginia visiting with Chris, Jennifer, and of course Ayden...... Oh the time is just flying by too fast for this Nana...... Our trip to get here went well last Thursday night. We chose a late night flight and Chris picked us up at the airport then dropped us by the house as he had duty at the ship. (navy) Boy was Ayden surprised to see Nana and Papa asleep the next morning at his house. So we were awaken by his jumping in bed with us! LOL. And it's been non stop with us ever since..... We took Ayden to a children's museum on Friday which he loved while Chris worked. Then Chris joined us downtown for a late lunch at a little pub. On Saturday morning we met Jenn for a 10K she ran in and she came in second in her age class! It was fun going in the little shops in the downtown area of Portsmouth. On the way home Chris took Bob and I by the naval base at Norfolk so we could shop at the Naval Exchange. I sure miss those! And wow was this a nice one. So I bought some early Christmas presents! I can now officially say I've started my Christmas shopping. I think I'll be visiting UPS to get all this home! sigh. He also drove us past all the naval piers so Bob could see how things had updated and changed since he was stationed here years ago when he was in the navy. Sunday was just a LAZY day for us..... Bob and Chris played golf. I think the BUG has BITTEN Bob.... We will see..... He thinks so... But....I'm not convinced for sure yet... We will see if it ends up in the garage along beside the bowflex and gets spider webs too..... LOL. Monday, Chris had to return back to work so we went to Williamsburg shopping. First we went to the Williamsburg Pottery Factory. I've not been there since the MID 80's. It's grown huge since then. I went straight to the FLOWER section... Of course always thinking about card making. LOL. I hit a bargain too. Walked away with a HUGE bag of silk flowers... I was happy happy happy! Then on to a clothes outlet too that day. Again buying more Christmas presents! Bob found things for our new grandbaby that is on the way this time..... It was fun buying for a newborn again! Makes you realize how much Ayden has grown! Tuesday morning Ayden returned to preschool! He's studying the letter "A" this week. So he painted with and APPLE yesterday to bring home! And he could hardly WAIT to dump out his backpack and show us a little acorn that was hiding in the bottom of it! LOL. Jenn and I had 3 hours to shop without a little boy! Bob and Chris played 18 holes of golf all afternoon. And I think Bob came home READY FOR BED! LOL. He was worn out! Well, today is another day...... Ayden will be going to school again today in a little while..... Happy Wednesday everyone.... I think I've caught you up on our stay while here in Virginia so far...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR AYDEN! HE WILL BE 3
Ayden will be turning 3 on Sept. 16 during our visit to Virginia. He is into DINOSAURS! He wants his birthday party theme to be about dinosaurs! So of course this NANA had to make his card be of dinosaurs! And he also loves volcanoes. PP is by Around the Block. Added another little volcano stip to the bottom and actually used some Tulip Sparkles Dimensional Fabric Paint - RED HOT for LAVA...... Rhonna Farrer Rub-on's. Offray ribbon. Thanks for stopping by....
