Hi everyone..... It will soon be Valentines Day and I have another little valentine to share with you. I just love this sweet little Tilda by Magnolia. I used Spellbinder dies - heart and oval shapes. And beautiful ribbon that works well for Valentines. Prima flowers, and pearls from an old napkin ring I've been cutting bits and pieces from. :-) Tilda was colored with Copic Markers. The pp has little mini hearts on it. Just a scrap from my stash. The card is a mini..... 3x3

New Baby... Welcome Ally

My neighbors had a new little baby girl today.... They already had a little 4 year old son and when asked what he wanted to call his baby sister he said alligator! LOL So she was named after that and shortened for Ally. We all thought that was cute. Mom and baby are doing well. This card will be for them along with my baby gift. I used a cute little Baby Tilda image by Magnolia.

I colored this cute little LOTV image with Distress Reinkers. The pearls are from a napkin ring that was given to me by a friend. A (Goodwill find).... I love this cute cute little LOTV image. Easy one to also color since I need practice with my Distress Reinkers. Offray ribbon and lots of Prima Flowers. I used the spots on the pp for my spots for the Simon Says Challenge.
Happy Birthday wishes goes out to my friend Debby in Israel for Thursday. Wish I could be there to celebrate with her.

I had a small piece of my old special pp that I have hoarded for years... I'm not even sure who it was by. I loved it and couldn't part with the last 6x6. LOL Tilda was colored using Copics on Kraft Cardstock. My new for the card was using the stick pin by Tim Holtz I got for Christmas.

Tilda was colored with Copics, a metallic gelly roll pen was used on confetti and stars, Prima flowers, LOTV sentiment, offray ribbon, pp used by 7 Gypsies and gold metallic pp. Lacy circle spellbinder dies were used for matting the image. Gold tinsel was added to the flowers.

Breathtaking....our angel

I've been doing some layouts of my niece, Megan for my brother. I started an album for him last spring and gave it to him for Father's day.... You see, Megan was killed by a driver under the influence of drugs who crossed the center line March of this year. What a tragedy for our family. At such a young age to be swept away while on her way to visit her grandparents and see her beloved Jordon. Megan touched the lives of everyone she ever came in contact with. Always going out of her way to make everyone special.
My scrapping is rusty, since I typically make cards. Hope you will enjoy taking a look. Also my photo was just a reprint copy from her FB wall of photos. The pearls I used were given to me by a friend that found a napkin ring holder at a Goodwill store. She sent it to me to do something with it as she wrote me a note of her find. I loved it and have kept it in with my pretties and just now had the chance to use it for something special.

Simply Less is More Challenge week 40 is using Orange and Red together. This may be unheard of having those colors as a Christmas card. LOL..... But after making it... I love it! haha.
Used my newest SU sentiment stamp from the Hand-Penned Holidays set. Love them! :=) Basic Grey PP with just a hint of red with orange in the paper. Perfect and punched with an EK Success border punch! Topped off with a beautiful red satin ribbon! And I finger painted some white acrylic paint to my jingle bell then sprayed some clear transparent finish over it.

Halloween is a fun time for me! And this little witchy Tilda is the perfect one to use for the holiday! Colored with Copics and Prisma Pencils for some shading too. Liquid Pearls for accents. Scraps for the design papers. And Kraft CS for my card's base. The stars were punched from the Sizzix star die onto adhesive black felt, accented with buttons from my collection. Computer generated sentiment and little foamy bats from some old pp I had from last year.

What in the world happened to my camera?   I have pushed something and turned all my photos into black / white... oh my....   Happened in the middle of going to the Safari recently and half my photos from taking the grands are in color and rest are B/W..... I made this card for my friend's birthday and have already given her the card. So no going back and get photos. This is what happens when you are in a hurry and don't upload your photos THAT DAY!

Yea I am back home again and able to make CARDS again. I really missed getting into my craft room. I used Prismacolor Pencils to color with. The leaf -- I picked up the stamp in Hawaii. I think I'll enjoy using it on my cards. The button has a sticker finish on the back side. EASY to use. Sentiment was computer generated. Fun card! Thanks for stopping by. Forgive me for no photos.... I left so fast I forgot my cable To upload my pictures with! You'll have to wait till later in March wHen I return!
I have been here helping my daughter-in-law who broke her ankle. She is finally able to use A walking boot to get around. So that makes Us all happy! I have had the opportunity to be with Ayden and Connor so that has been wonderful! I have played more Wii than in a long time!
I can't tell you how beautiful the scenery is. So many coconuts in the trees. Beaches are fabulous! If you have never been tell your hubby's you want to go! This is my third trip and I tell you it is never regretted to see Hawaii.
I have missed making cards though I did luck upon cheap ribbon here. Yea so bought several
Rolls. I was able to find it for 50 and 100 yards on the spools for $4. How great is that! So I was happy!
I have been lucky to win a few candy giveaways. Yea! That has been exciting and made up for not getting to craft.

A fun happy birthday card for a friend with an upcoming February birthday. She shares her birthday with my grandson, Kirin. I colored Tilda with Copics and then shaded some with Prismacolor pencils. Prima flowers were used. TPC Studio pp was used called Mediterranean Summer line - Teal Geo Circles.
I used a little calendar page on this one, highlighting with chalks the date of her birthday. Border punch is my Martha Stewart.

I lucked out one day when a local LSS was shutting down for the last day. They had these holders for sale. I thought wow I could put Copics in them. I paid $3 for each one. So far they've worked out great. I have empty room still left up top. So for now it works great for me.

Well, 2 Valentine cards made now and I still have a few more weeks to finish the others up. This is a precious little Tilda and the hearts on her makes her a GREAT Valentine image to use. I used not your typical Valentine colors for this one. The pp background is by Bo-Bunny Press called Winter Whisper Mist. My dotted paper is by Basic Grey from their Lemonade line called Strawberry Patch.
The sentiment stamp is a $1 stamp that is old from Michaels. The cute little hearts at the top was by American Girl. I love picking up little embellishments off this aisle at Michaels. I removed the smalled 2 hearts and cut more in the RED/PINK colors to match the card better. Grosgrain Ribbon is by the Ribbon Boutique. It is a SOFT grosgrain and easy to tie and makes a pretty bow. The cute little border is by a MS punch. Flowers are from Prima.

This card is a romantic Tilda! For the first time I TRIED paper piecing my image. I was told at Hobby Lobby that I could use E6000 Adhesive between the layers to achieve this look. WRONG.. After it had dried on it's own, the image had just melted down into the bottom layer! whine.... I was hoping it would have gave it a little lift. I think some use a Silicon, but I am not sure what one or where to buy.

I will have to research some more. The sentiment came from Michael's $1 bin. This was the last of this paper I have hoarded for about 5 years! It is gorgeous. I'm not even sure who the paper company is anymore. And this is the last of this pretty ribbon. Chipboard is by K &Company. Flowers are by Prima.

WOW.... Orange and Green for inspiration colors..... Hummmmm I would of never typically chosen those colors by choice, but the challenge was fun to make me let them work for this card. Also it gave me a chance to color up this cute little Tilda for St. Patty's day! PP is by Recollections called "FAR OUT" LOL I found the beautiful ribbon at Michaels this week on sale. My sentiment stamp was also from Michael's $1 bin I think last year. The Shamrock is by Recollections as well. Flowers are all from my stash. Image was colored in Copics and then shadowed a little with Prismacolor pencils. I used Crystal Effects by SU over all the Shamrocks in Tilda's arms. The vintage gem pin is by Making Memories. January Mingle for Kathy Skipper

I chose to make a Valentine Tilda card for my January Mingle card to be sent to Kathy. I colored my images with Copics and then shadowed with Prismacolor pencils. Nestabilities were used to die cut the hearts and the pendant. Pearls were added for an embellishment. Sheer ribbon was tied to the front of the card and a cute heart/flower/button/charm was added as well. The card was cut in half and removed on the front so it would swing open and also show the beautiful pp by Bo Bunny called "A Gift of Love". For the inside of the card I used a nestabilities label and added a sentiment inside accented with two more little pearls. Sentiment was by Stampabilities.

A fun birthday Tilda card for a special friend of mine whose birthday is in January. But this Tilda has a long ways to travel to her so I needed to make it early. Card was made from all scraps. I just love this ribbon and I'm almost to the end of my roll. whine.... Chipboard star was covered with pp and edges sanded. Image colored with Copics and shadowed with Prismacolor Pencils. Leaving for out of town

I'm leaving on a business trip with my hubby for a week. We will return Dec. 11 for a week then gone again a week for Christmas. I can already see this month fly by as a blur. Thank goodness for the most part my Christmas shopping is finished. One pressure off my back.
Plan to take my copics and come images with me for the week as I'll be in the hotel during the day while Bob works. I need something to keep me busy!

This is my December Mingle card for Jennifer Dale. Since she lives overseas I knew i needed to get to work right away. I love this adorable little snowman image by Magnolia. I decided to submit a card in the tryouts for Mo's Digital Image Dream Team Call. The images are absolutely adorable. I would so love to be selected to work more closely with the images being on the DT. I plan to give this card to my hubby! :)
I colored my image with Copics and then used Prismacolor Pencils to outline and shade using a stump and odorless mineral spirits. Fun pp by Cosmo Cricket. Prima flower, chipboard from my stash. MS punch. Inverted circle Nestabilities for my image. Chalked around my image after I was finished with coloring.

Magnolia-licious Challenge blog had an Inspiration Challenge this week. We were able to look at a photo and make a card using a Magnolia image from what inspired us from that photo. For me it was the COLORS of the pink, yellow and a splash of BLUE! At first I thought surely I can't use the blue..... But after the card was finished I LOVE IT! haha...... Again I used my Prismacolor pencils to outline and shade with. I used my stump and odorless mineral spirits to help move the pencil line for a shadow look. I sprayed the frame and starts with GRAPHITE colored Glimmer Mist. Sentiment is by Hero Arts. I DECIDED TO GO WITH A VERY SIMPLE CHRISTMAS CARD THIS YEAR. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE ALL MY CARDS IN 2 DAYS. AND THAT FELT WONDERFUL! I ALSO DID NOT USE UP TONS OF MY SUPPLIES OR TIME MAKING THEM EITHER. SO MANY TIMES OUR CARDS WE'VE SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS MAKING GO TOSSED INTO THE TRASH BY RELATIVES AND FRIENDS THAT JUST DIDN'T REALIZE WHAT IT TOOK TO MAKE THEM THAT SPECIAL CARD. SO...... CELEBRATE Magnolia-licious Challenge PINK & YELLOW

This is my Magnolia-licious Challenge card for the first challenge on the blog for yellow and pink. I plan to send this card to my dear friend, Gail who will be celebrating her birthday in a couple more weeks. PP is by Heidi Grace called It's my Party. The ribbon was given to me by Cynthia and is actually a holiday ribbon that has a flocked feel to it. You won't believe. It came from Walmart and the cost was $2...... Love it! Great even for a wedding card.
I have played with my prismacolor pencils after coloring my image with copics to do some shadowing. I love this look on an image. I plan to keep playing and practicing it.

Another altered canvas that I added to my inventory for the bazaar. The embellishment is by Artisan Elements. OMG I love these. You can spray glimmer mist as I did here on mine (used Graphite color) and the color goes into the creases. You can also use paint, ink, alcohol ionks, glitter glue, markers...... They really are beautiful. A pretty satin ribbon in pink was also added. This is one of the prettiest pp's. I sprayed the matting for the photo also in glimmer mist. Flower is by Prima. YUMMY!

Being from Louisiana the FLEUR-DE-LIS are soooo very popular here. Great for decorating the home. I had 2 little 4x4 canvases I'd picked up from Hobby Lobby MONTHS ago and was nervous about trying anything. Finally I said what the heck. Can always pick into the trash if I screw it up! Anyway I've been pretty pleased since it was a FIRST! I hope someone will like them enough to want them for their house! If not my sister and I just might have a new canvas painting for our kitchens! I think this is some of the BEAUTIFULEST patterned paper I've used yet on my altered frames. Paper is by Creative Imaginations called the DANCE. OMG this is beautiful IRL. DANCE ---- ALTERED FRAME

I played today in my craft room making an altered frame. The frame is from the unfinished dept. at Michael's. My pp was by Reminisce called "JUST DANCE". How wonderful it went with the Ballerina Tilda by Magnolia. My embellishments were: Say it in Pearls by Prima, and a beautiful button by Tim Holtz/Ranger. My ribbons were from Walmart and SU. Tilda was colored in Copics. And my heart punch was by Martha Stewart. I'm hoping to sell altered frames at a Bazaar in mid October. Wish me luck. No clue what to ask for a price. My oldest grandson, Ayden will soon be turning 6 years old. We are traveling to Jackson, TN next Friday week to help him celebrate! I tried my hand at water coloring with Ranger Distressing inks and then following with the inks and a dry brush for deep shadows. I have a lot to learn about this, but have been wanting to try this method.

NECK DISC SURGERY

I just returned home from having Neck Disc surgery to repair a fusion that had broken. All went well and I'm glad to be back home. I had a ton of pain the first day of surgery and finally was able to get it under control... I hope to do well with recovery period now. But will sure miss doing crafting. So if you don't see much from me for a week or two that is why.
